The investigation is underway in Egg Harbor Township into a Monday afternoon accident involving a motor vehicle and a child on a bicycle. The car was driven by 52 year old Kelli Bonner on Spruce Avenue right around 4 o’clock. The child was taken to a local hospital with moderate injuries.
A rescue of three dolphins who got into difficulty swimming near the North Wildwood beachfront on Monday. An active investigation is underway into a traffic accident last Friday night that involved Millville Police Detective Michael McLaughlin Jr. The Daily Journal reports that the officer was involved in an off duty motor vehicle accident Friday shortly before 11pm; no further comment is being offered by authorities. ##
The Immigration and Customers Enforcement Program has accepted the Cape May County Correctional Center as a member. Three correctional officers will now be trained when an opening is available to serve as deputy immigration officers. Sheriff Gary Schaffer announced that the ICE program has removed 143 inmates from the local correctional facility. ##

Longtime Middle Township boys soccer coach John Maher is stepping down following a very successful 15 year career. The Gazette Leader reports that the hall of fame coach is resigning at the age of 63 due largely to health concerns. Maher has won 204 games during his career. ##
