The Ocean City Fire Department responded to a house fire in Somers Point Thursday morning. Authorities say a fire broke out in a dryer at a home located at 3 Jefferson Avenue. There was extensive damage to the home, but fortunately, no injuries. The Somers Point and Linwood fire departments also responded.
A 29 year old Atlantic County man was killed during a one vehicle motor vehicle accident in Egg Harbor Township on Thursday. 29 year old Richard Blevins lost his life after his vehicle struck a tree on Leap Street. Blevins missed a stop sign and hit a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A man who drove the getaway car following a fatal shooting in Pleasantville last year has been indicted. 32 year old Robert L. Terrell collected a gunman following a fatal shooting last September in the city. Terrell now faces six charges, including murder, conspiracy, and weapons offenses. Bail has been set at $500,000.

The budget plans to eliminate a discretionary appropriation to the NFIP totaling $190 million.
