The Lower Township Council meets tonight and is expected to make an appointment to a Ward 3 council seat.  The seat was vacated in the last election as Erik Simonsen won the mayoral election.  Three new police sergeants will also be named during tonight’s meeting, which begins at 7 o’clock at Township Hall.

STONE HARBOR NAMES SCHUTTA ACTING POLICE CHIEF

A change at the top of the Stone Harbor Police Department.  Council met Tuesday and accepted the resignation of Chief Paul Reynolds, and also named former Captain Thomas Schutta as Acting Police Chief.  Council also approved the hiring of full time officers and approved a joint dispatch agreement with the Borough of Avalon.
