FORMER CORRECTIONS OFFICER ADMITS TO ASSAULTING INMATE

A former corrections officer could be spending five years in prison for sexually assaulting an inmate at the Salem County Jail.  30 year old Elbert Johnson of Pittsgrove Township allegedly assaulted an inmate during a lockdown in April, 2015.  Johnson entered the plea deal with the Salem County Prosecutor’s Office on Monday.
