CONDO FIRE REPORTED IN WILDWOOD, NO INJURIES

CAPE MAY COUNTY TO GET A NEW SHERIFF IN 2017

TD BANK ROBBED IN OCEAN CITY, SUSPECT ON THE LOOSE

A branch of TD Bank in Ocean City was robbed Thursday afternoon.  Authorities say a man walked into the bank and demanded an unknown amount of money; the note indicated the man had a gun, but no weapon was spotted.  The bank is located on 9th Street in the city, there were no injuries.

REPORT: ATLANTIC CITY’S WATCHDOG GETTING $400…AN HOUR

The man who is charged by the state to oversee Atlantic City’s finances is getting paid $400 an hour.  The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that Jeffrey Chiesa is billing taxpayers at the rate of $400 an hour to make sure the city functions properly.  Assemblyman Chris Brown of Atlantic County calls the rate of pay “unbelievable”.

STATE NOW MUST MAKE QUARTERLY PAYMENTS TO PENSION SYSTEM

Four times a year..that’s how often the State is now obligated to pay into its pension system.  Governor Christie signed a bill into law that requires the state to make quarterly payments into the system.  Both the Senate and the Assembly passed the bill on unanimous votes.
