The Middle Township Police Department has launched a new, free mobile phone app. Chief Chris Leusner announced that the app is available on any platform and will allow the department to disseminate news quickly about missing persons, traffic delays, and other events. Leusner says the Township may also use the app to survey residents.

Authorities have identified 21 year old Marcus Campbell as the victim of a fatal shooting Wednesday night in Mays Landing. Campbell was shot several times at the Woodlands Condominiums in what authorities have classified as a “turf war” shooting. So far, no arrests have been made.
