Ocean City honored the victims of the Orlando nightclub shooting by lighting the Ocean City Causeway in lights symbolic of the LGBT community. The lights remained on at night through Sunday night as the city mourns those who were lost in the tragedy.
The Middle Township Committee meets Monday afternoon and may approve spending $100,000 for dash cams for the Middle Township Police Department. A capital ordinance will be considered by the Township Committee that would approve the expenditure. The committee holds its regular meeting at 6:00pm.
Pleasantville Police continue their investigation into a double shooting that began the weekend. Two men were hospitalized on Saturday after being shot in the 600 block of Woodland Avenue. A 30 year old victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds, and a 26 year old male was also shot. So far, no suspects are in custody.
Brenna Weick is the new Miss New Jersey. The 22-year old Weick was awarded the crown Saturday night during the pageant in Ocean City. Weick was Miss Seashore Line, and now advances to the Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City.
