A major project designed to alleviate some flooding concerns in Ocean City is moving forward. Mayor Jay Gillian announced that a north end pump station project has been approved, and it will cost nearly $9 million. Part of the project will be paid with a FEMA grant.

The Avalon Police Department has been accredited for the second time. Mayor Martin Pagliughi announced that the police department had a perfect review by a state committee back in March, and the accreditation was confirmed on June 9th.
