STATE TROOPER INJURED IN AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENT

A New Jersey State Trooper was injured Thursday morning in an automobile accident in Salem County.  State Police tell Coastal Broadcasting that the trooper’s vehicle struck a pole on a busy roadway.  The identity of the trooper has not been released; he was taken to an area hospital for evaluation.

CORVETTE DRIVES INTO REEF PHARMACY IN CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE

AVALON STUDENT CREATES DESIGN FOR 2016 BEACH TAG

For the 18th consecutive year, a student at the Avalon Elementary School has designed the artwork for Avalon’s beach tag.  The 2016 design was created by 7th grade student Anna Bond.  Anna’s artwork will appear on all seasonal beach tags sold in Avalon for the 2016 summer season.

MILLVILLE GETS ITS FIRST EVER FEMALE POLICE SERGEANT

The city of Millville has its first ever female police sergeant.  Cindi Zadroga has been with the police department for eight years and received the promotion this week to fill a retirement vacancy.  Police Chief Jody Farabella says Zadroga is well liked within the police department and has had a positive impact on the community.

STATE’S REVENUE PREDICTIONS FALL SHORT, AGAIN

The State’s own revenue projections have fallen short, again.  Governor Christie’s office was counting on a 3.4 percent growth in tax collections to support the budget.  However, figures released on Wednesday show they have dropped last month to just 2.8 percent. The State has a $33.8 billion dollar budget in place that must be funded.

JUDGE SCOLDS LAW FIRM OVER HANDLING OF BRIDGEGATE
