Firefighters in Ocean City were called to a house fire on Central Avenue Sunday morning. Firemen arrived at the home around 9:30am and fortunately the occupants were able to escape without injury. No nearby homes were damaged by Sunday’s fire; the cause remains under investigation.
Now it’s two long distance state running championships for Ocean City senior Devon Grisbaum. Grisbaum won the NJSIAA Meet of Champions in the 3200 meter event in Toms River. This follows Grisbaum’s Meet of Champions victory in cross country last year. Grisbaum will continue her running career at Vanderbilt University.

Very ice road conditions Saturday night led to a fatal accident in Middle Township. Police Chief Christopher Leusner reports that one person was killed during a motor vehicle accident westbound on North Wildwood Boulevard Saturday evening.
