The industry was trending down this year, but was hurt especially by Superstorm Sandy, which brought double digit decreases in Oct. and Nov.
An additional two weeks is coming to those staying in hotels and can’t find a more permanent place to stay. FEMA announced that a two week extension was going to be provided for the nearly 1,000 families who are still displaced in hotels by the storm. The extension brings the deadline to Jan. 26.
