Here’s this week’s Ask the Morning After:
Hello Mark and the gang,
I’m writing to see if I can get some help. I’m a single mom with a son that is going on 15 and an 11 year old daughter. My kids are usually great. They get along well good grades the whole thing is wonderful. Except for one weird thing that started 9 months ago. My son has started taking his sister’s clothes and wearing them. Especially her My Little Pony and Monster High stuff. I’ll come home from work and he will be wearing it. I asked if his sister was having dress like that to be silly. He said no he likes the clothes. I don’t want to be a closed minded parent so I said as long as it was at home and he asked for permission. His sister isn’t bothered by it, but I am a little because he has always been picked on and if people see him dressed in girls outfits from head to toe I can only imagine how they will react. I’m not embarrassed of him don’t take it like that if he feels comfortable being like that I will always support my kids. But I know how other 15 year old boys are when they see another boy dressed in pink head to toe with My Little Ponies and rainbows. I caught him sneaking some stuff on himself into school to wear. I don’t want him to get hurt but I want him to feel like he can be himself. PLEASE HELP!
