WOODBINE HOSTS COUNTY PICKUP FOR NJ FORESTRY RECOVERY PROGRAM

For the third straight year, the Borough of Woodbine was selected as the Cape May County drop-off site for free tree seedlings to be distributed under the New Jersey Tree Recovery Campaign. Last Friday, Public Works employees from several Cape May County Municipalities picked up thousands of bundled trees in Woodbine for planting in their various communities. Tree species provided this year were tulip, poplar, paw paw, bald cypress, and black walnut. The goal of the Tree Recovery Campaign is to distribute over 500,000 tree seedlings to New Jersey residents over the course of five years, in cooperation with the Arbor Day Foundation and several business sponsors.
