4 AM EST THURSDAY…

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOUNT HOLLY HAS ISSUED A WINTER
STORM WARNING FOR A WINTRY MIX OF PRECIPITATION LATER TODAY AND
TONIGHT…WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 5 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 4 AM EST
THURSDAY. THE WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* PRECIPITATION TYPE: RAIN IS EXPECTED DURING THE DAY…BEFORE
CHANGING TO A RAIN AND SLEET MIXTURE THIS EVENING…THEN TO ALL
SNOW LATER THIS EVENING.

* ACCUMULATIONS: 2 TO 5 INCHES…WITH THE HIGHEST AMOUNTS WEST OF
THE PARKWAY.

* TIMING: RAIN WILL CONTINUE TODAY…BEFORE CHANGING TO RAIN AND
SLEET THIS EVENING…THEN TO ALL SNOW LATER THIS EVENING. THE
SNOW IS EXPECTED TO END BEFORE DAYBREAK THURSDAY.

* IMPACTS: TRAVEL COULD BECOME IMPACTED LATE THIS EVENING AND
DURING THE OVERNIGHT AS SNOW FALLS AND TEMPERATURES DROP BELOW
THE FREEZING MARK.
