WILDWOOD SEEKING LONG-TERM SOURCES FOR CASH

At Wednesday’s meeting, Wildwood City Commissioners formally agreed to develop a plan to identify new revenue sources, in an effort to move away from one-time revenue sources. The Press of Atlantic City reports that Commissioner Pete Byron says the move will allow the city to further its long-range plans as it prepares for the 2014 budget and beyond. Byron said the new five-year plan will also help to stabilize taxes in the city. Wildwood now has the highest local tax rates in Cape May County.
