A 2-1 vote put higher beach fees to rest on the Wildwood beach this summer. The commission there voted to make the change after multiple beach events threatened to leave the WIldwood beach and GWTIDA stepped in with funding for the city. Wildwood wanted higher fees to offset what it said was additional costs the city incurs for beach events. Commissioner Pete Byron was the sole vote against the measure.
