Wildwood Mayor Ernie Troiano spoke to Coastal Broadcasting Friday morning and stated he had no knowledge of the filming of the reality TV show “Jersey Shore” in his town this summer. Us Weekly published a report that MTV would be filming in Wildwood and moving into a local house on July 15th. Troiano said the city had not issued any permits for filming of the show. The mayor also said this spring the producers of the “Jersey Shore” were considering Wildwood as a location, but local business owners and the local chamber of commerce were opposed to the project.
