WILDWOOD LIFEGUARD TO COMPETE FOR MISS NEW JERSEY TITLE THIS WEEK

Wildwood Beach Patrol lifeguard Myra McCann will take a break from her duties this week to compete against 29 other hopefuls for the title of Miss New Jersey 2016. The 24-year-old 2016 Miss Eastern Shore is a graduate of Holy Spirit High School and St. Joseph’s University. During the winter months she is employed as a one-on-one aide at the Atlantic County Special Services School District. For the past five summers, she’s been guarding the Wildwood beach as a second-generation lifeguard. McCann’s father, John, served as a captain on the city’s beach patrol.
