WILDWOOD CREST TO BECOME FIRST RESPONDER TO FIRES IN DIAMOND BEACH

An agreement has been struck to allow Wildwood Crest to respond first for fires in Diamond Beach. In total, Wildwood Crest will be paid $75,000 per year for the service. The money will come $10,000 from the Township of Lower, and $65,000 from the corresponding fire district in Lower Township. Lower Township Councilman Erik Simonsen told Coastal Broadcasting that he supports the deal because it will provide quicker response to potential deadly fires, which improves safety in the community.
