Horseback riding could be coming to the beaches in the city of Wildwood before the end of the year. The Wildwood City Commission approved an ordinance on first reading Wednesday night that would permit horseback riding on the beach. If the ordinance receives final approvals in November, horseback riding could be on the beaches of Wildwood before Christmas. Horses would be allowed on the beaches from October through April from 6am until 5pm; a permit to ride a horse on the beach would cost $100.
