WEST CAPE MAY TO INTRODUCE CENT TAX INCREASE

A new budget is going to be proposed in West Cape May. Officials there are going to present their proposed spending plan for 2011, which calls for a one cent increase to the local tax rate. Mayor Pam Kaithern says the borough will keep its budget under the new two percent tax cap. The budget is coming in at about $2.1 million, with $1.5 million being raised by taxes, according to Kaithern.
