WEATHER UPDATE: REDUCED CHANCE OF SNOW FOR WEEKEND

The National Weather Service now says there could be a reduced risk of a heavy snowfall for Cape May County this weekend.  The big storm that will bring some snow to the south is expected to move offshore and bring some snow to the coastal areas of South Jersey over the weekend.  However, the potential for a heavy snowfall is pretty much gone.  The storm is expected to stay out to sea.  If the storm would track further west, there would be a significant snowfall for our region.  Right now, the call is only for a glancing blow, at best, on Sunday into Sunday night.
