Voters will head to the polls in November to consider a one dollar increase in the state’s minimum wage. Assembly Democrats voted on Thursday in favor of putting the issue on the ballot, and it passed by a 46-31 vote. If voters approve the one dollar increase in the minimum wage, the state constitution would be amended to provide cost of living increases annually in the minimum wage. Some business groups are against the higher wage.
