VOTERS HEAD TO POLLS FOR CONTESTS IN LOWER, UPPER TOWNSHIPS

Voters are heading to the polls today in two mainland communities as they cast ballots in two contested republican primary elections. In Lower Township’s Third Ward, two men are seeking their party’s endorsement for one seat. Incumbent Glenn Douglass is challenged by Brian McEwing, who has received the endorsement from the Lower Township republican party. In Upper Township, incumbents Curtis Corson and Jay Newman are receiving a primary challenge from republican Antonio Inserra; two seats will be up for grabs in the Upper Township committee race in November.
