VOTE GOES AGAINST SUPREME COURT NOMINEE IN SENATE COMMITTEE

In a tight vote, another Supreme Court nominee was turned away. Bruce Harris was rejected inside of a Senate committee on Thursday by a 7-6 vote. Harris was the first ever openly gay person to be nominated to the Supreme Court. Gov. Chris Christie has had his last two nominees turned away by the Senate. There remain two vacancies on the bench.
