VINELAND MAN TAKES POLICE ON HIGH SPEED CHASE

A traffic stop in Vineland turned into a full blown chase. Police there say they were approaching a vehicle they had pulled over when the vehicle took off with a high rate of speed. Eventually, the vehicle came to a stop and the suspect aggressively approached the officers. The suspect, Jose Rodriguez, was bit by the K-9 dog and he allowed himself to be handcuffed. Rodriguez was processed on numerous motor vehicle summonses, in addition to criminal complaints for eluding police and resisting arrest. He was held on bail in the amount of $50,000 at the Cumberland County Jail.
