VIETNAM VET’S CASKET FLAG RETURNED TO NORTH WILDWOOD FAMILY

On Monday afternoon a special delivery was made to the North Wildwood house where an American flag was stolen on July 4th. An unknown woman in her twenties dropped off a box containing the casket flag of Patrick Corcoran, after a week of pleas in the media for it’s return. Patrick’s brother Tom and the Corcoran family held a press conference on Wednesday afternoon, attended by North Wildwood Mayor Patrick Rosenello, Vietnam veterans and other public officials to thank everyone for spreading the word about the significance of the stolen flag and supporting the Corcoran family during this ordeal. No charges were pressed against the thieves and a reward for the flag’s return went unclaimed.
