VETO OVERRIDE VOTE SCHEDULED ON STATE BUDGET

An attempt to reverse the budget cuts approved by Gov. Chris Christie will take place on Monday. Senate President Steve Sweeney said he will hold an override veto vote on Monday on the budget. The Democrats would need three Republicans to vote their way and to hold the party line. It is unlikely that any Republican would stand against the governor. Christie line-item vetoed nearly $1 billion out of the budget before signing it into law for this fiscal year.
