VAN DREW WANTS EXPLAINATION ON PARKWAY TREE CLEARING

vandrewState Senator Jeff VanDrew wants the New Jersey Turnpike Authority to give a definitive explaination on why trees have been cleared from 34 miles of the Garden State Parkway. In a letter to the authority, Van Drew wanted to know more about reports that the project is part of a $900 million widening project that has not been fully funded. Earlier reports stated that the trees were being cleared to promote public safety.
