VAN DREW: PARKWAY LIGHT REMOVAL REMAINS ON TARGET

vandrewThe work to get the lights off the Garden State Parkway continues to be on schedule to be completed by 2012. State Senator Jeff Van Drew told Coastal Broadcasting that the state is telling him that work will begin next year and will be wrapped up in 2012. The project includes removing the three lights and creating interchanges. The lights have been a safety concern with many accidents taking place at those intersections. Officials believe lives will be saved by making this change.
