VAN DREW HELPS MOVE BUDGET THROUGH SENATE COMMITTEE

The budget narrowly passed through committee on Wednesday. The Senate budget committee took up the measure and State Senator Jeff Van Drew provided one of only two Democratic “yes” votes for the budget, the lowest amount possible for the budget to pass committee. The $29.4 million budget needs to be passed and signed into law before July 1 to avoid a government shutdown.
