UPDATE: VINELAND OFFICER STABBED DURING FIGHT WITH SUSPECT

A Vineland police officer was stabbed in the face and head by a 26 year-old Vineland man during a well-being check on his property. The Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office says Johnny Flores, of the 700 block of Valley Road, got into a physical altercation with two police officers and allegedly stabbed one of the cops, sending him to the hospital. The other officer was treated for minor injuries. Flores was charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault and is being held in the Cumberland County Jail on $500,000 bail.
