UPDATE: MORE THAN TWO INCHES OF RAIN POSSIBLE

Emergency management officials throughout the county are keeping their eyes on a coastal storm that will likely bring more than two inches of rain to our region before the weekend.  A big storm in the south is expected to move up the eastern seaboard over the next 36 hours and will bring widespread rain to Cape May County Thursday evening through the day on Friday.  Right now, forecasters expect at least two and a half inches of rain out of this storm, windy conditions, and the potential for minor to moderate coastal flooding.  Advisories may be posted tonight or Thursday as the storm approaches.
