The March unemployment numbers showed the state lost jobs. The new numbers say that 1300 jobs were lost last month and the new jobless rate is 7.2 percent, up from 7.1 percent the month prior. New Jersey ranks behind the national average of 6.7 percent. The biggest job gains were found in education and health services.
