UNEMPLOYMENT NUMBERS DIP IN AUGUST

Another sign the economy is making some improvements, the unemployment rate dropped in the state again. New numbers were released on Wednesday and showed the state was at 9.6 percent, down from 9.7 percent. The numbers say the state added 500 jobs in August. The private sector added 3,700 jobs, while the public sector lost 3,200.
