UEZ ZONES LIKELY NOT GOING AWAY

Municipalities in UEZ zones got some good news on Monday. Gov. Chris Christie said he wants to keep the zones in place, but that doesn’t necessarily mean dollars will be rolling into municipalities either. The Daily Journal reports that Christie told about a dozen mayors during a breakfast that he wants to keep the zones, but did not say the dollars that have been frozen by the state would be given back. The state is doing an assessment of the program to see where and if it could be improved.
