TWO WHALES EUTHANIZED AFTER WASHING UP ON BRIGANTINE BEACH

A pygmy sperm whale and her young calf were found on a Brigantine beach two hours apart on Wednesday. The Marine Mammal Stranding Center was called to assist the whales, but they were seriously injured and had to be euthanized. The pygmy sperm whales who are deep sea creatures, will undergo examinations at to determine why they died.
