TWO WANTED IN LAS VEGAS KILLING SENT BACK

A Las Vegas mother and son arrested in an Atlantic City casino in October in connection with the slaying of the woman’s husband were ordered to be returned to Las Vegas by Superior Court Judge Bernard E. DeLury, Atlantic County Prosecutor Ted Housel announced.

After a brief hearing Superior Court Judge DeLury determined that valid Governors’ warrants had been obtained for Michelle Costello, 43, and her 19-year-old son Peter Costello who are suspected in the killing of 65-year-old Bert English in Nevada, Chief Assistant Prosecutor Chet Wiech said.

State Police arrested the Costellos at Resorts Casino in Atlantic City and transported them to the Atlantic County Justice Facility on Oct. 16.

The victim, who is not Peter Costello’s biological father, was found dead on Sept. 20, 2010 at the family’s Las Vegas apartment. Warrants for the duo’s arrest were issued on Sept. 23, a day after the autopsy, Wiech said.
