TWO DOWNBEACH TEMPLES CELEBRATE MERGER

A celebratory parade was held on Sunday to mark the merger of two Jewish congregations  in Margate and Ventnor. Temple Emeth Shalom of Margate has joined with the former Beth Judah in Ventnor to form the Shirat Hayam congregation. Leaders led members of the new 450-member congregation on a Torah walk from Margate to their new home in Ventnor. The transition is expected to be completed by next year, according to Rabbi Jonathan Kremer.
