TWO-ALARM FIRE WEDNESDAY NIGHT IN OCEAN CITY

Firefighters in Ocean City responded to a two-alarm fire at a single-family home on the 3500 block of West Avenue in Ocean City. NBC-40 reported that the fire broke out about 6:15pm Wednesday and spread to the duplex next door. Fire officials said that one of the residents went back into the burning building to save his cat and a police officer went in after him. The resident and officer were treated for smoke inhalation and released at a local hospital.
