TURNPIKE AUTHORITY WANTS TO RAISE FINES ON EZ PASS VIOLATIONS, COURT RULES NO

The New Jersey Turnpike Authority wants to raise fines for EZ Pass violators on the Parkway and Turnpike to $50 per offense, but a court says…wait a minute.  An appeals court says before that happens, the Authority must justify why a $50 fine is necessary.  The Authority says the current $25 fee doesn’t cover the cost of processing and collecting toll violations.
