TUESDAYS DOWNPOUR A DAILY RECORD-BREAKER FOR SOUTH JERSEY

The remnants of Tropical Storm Florence left it’s mark on South Jersey, breaking the daily rainfall record for Sept. 18th. Late afternoon and evening downpours contributed to a reported 2.13 inches of rainfall for the day at Atlantic City International Airport, breaking the daily record by over one inch. In Cape May County, the southbound lanes near Exit 6 of the Garden State Parkway experienced some flooding, while the George Redding Bridge entering Wildwood on Route 47 was temporarily closed for flooding.
