TRUMP CASINO CLOSES THANKS TO POWER PROBLEM

Trump Plaza Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, NJ will be temporarily closed due to an issue arising from a leak in a water main managed by the utility company that provides the company with the necessary cold water for its air conditioning, Trump Entertainment Resorts announced today.  The closure is effective immediately.

Trump Plaza is expected to reopen at 10 am on Sunday, July 18, 2010, and plans to begin accepting guests into the hotel by 1 pm on that same day.  During the temporary shutdown, the Trump Plaza Beach Bar, The Liquid Bar, Evo restaurant and The Rainforest Café will remain open.

We have decided to temporarily close both our casino and hotel because the utility issue that has shut down our air conditioning has brought the quality of experience in our hotel below the standards to which we consistently hold ourselves,” said Trump Entertainment resorts chief executive officer Mark Juliano.  “We are hopeful and optimistic that the air conditioning will again be functioning by Sunday, as we have been advised by our utility provider, and look forward to reopening.
