TOWNSEND INLET BRIDGE TO REMAIN CLOSED FOR TWO ADDITIONAL WEEKS

The Townsend Inlet Bridge is going to remain closed for two more weeks. Cape May County Engineer Dale Foster tells Coastal Broadcasting the bridge railing work is taking longer than expected. The railings are being replaced and for safety reasons, the bridge must remain completely closed. The bridge was supposed to be reopened by this weekend. Foster says the contractor is working as quickly as possible on the replacement.
