TOWN PULLS THE PLUG ON RED LIGHT CAMERAS

A New Jersey community became the first in the state to get rid of red light cameras after they were installed. Brick Township got rid of the cameras, with Monday being the last day they were in place. Officials there say they didn’t think it was helping safety. Some in the state have been highly critical of the machines, including some being found to have handed down violations in error.
