Local tourism officials say there was an increase in activity year-to-year. Cape May County Tourism Director Diane Wieland told Coastal Broadcasting that tourism was up 5.4 percent in 2010. Wieland attributed some of the increase to the strong Canadian push that the department made and the overall warm weather. Wieland expects 2011 to be a good year for tourism once again.
