THREE APPLICATIONS RECEIVED FOR SMALLER SCALE CASINOS IN ATLANTIC CITY

Three casino groups have filed to put a boutique casino in Atlantic City, which means they will have less hotel rooms than the standard casino/hotels that are there currently. Hard Rock International, Gurwicz Enterprises, and Pinnacle Entertainment have all filled with the state. There are scheduled to be only two that open, so there will be a period of selection, before these applications can go forward. The period of selection is expected to last 60 days. Pinnacle has previously attempted to build a casino in Atlantic City at the site of the old Sands Casino, but left those plans when finances got too tight.
