Severe thunderstorms took out power to more than 10,000 on the Atlantic City Electric grid on Tuesday night. Cape May County alone had over 3,000 people without power. The storm brought heavy rain and thunder to the area shortly after 6 pm. The rain should be gone for a little while as the forecast for Thursday is sunny skies and highs in the 80’s.
