New Jersey State Senator Mike Testa has sponsored a bill that would put all of the state’s hotel and motel occupancy taxes towards tourism promotion, arts, and history. That fund generated $112 million in 2019. This would increase the funding to travel and tourism to nearly 32 percent of the overall allocation.
