TESTA: HIKE IN MINIMUM WAGE WILL IMPACT PROPERTY TAXES AT JERSEY SHORE

State Senator Mike Testa believes that the state’s one dollar increase in the minimum wage will have a negative impact on property taxes paid by those who own property at the Jersey Shore.  Testa believes that some shore-area businesses will have to trim staff and reduce benefits at their companies.  The minimum wage increased to $11 an hour as of Wednesday.
